Project Helping Hands, chaired by The Palm Beach Radio
Control Association member Arty Mundell, is a program that allows children’s
organizations access to RC modeling and flight. The club holds regularly
scheduled events for kids where the children are allowed to build and fly
small rubber band powered airplanes. Also they are given the opportunity to
fly the larger radio controlled aircraft on a buddy box with a flight
instructor.
These half day programs give the kids a taste of hobby and
at the same time gives our club members a chance to pass their experience to
the kids. The Palm Beach Radio Control Association have hosted PHH
programs for the State of Florida’s Department of Children and Families for
foster children and local Scouting organizations.
Project Helping Hands events allow the club to give back to
the community and share the love of the hobby with the children. The smiles
from the children when they fly their airplanes is our reward.
Come out and join the fun.
