Engine Repairs and Reconditioning
I will repair any two or four-stroke model engine, glow or gas. I
will
also do light machine work if necessary for the repair. Such work as
the
following can be done:
-Bearing replacement, two or four stroke.
-New piston rings, including cylinder honing.
-Removal of frozen bolts or screws without damage to the engine.
-Complete engine rebuilding to restore performance.
-Damaged engine repair.
-Machining of damaged mating parts if possible.
As I have to buy parts at retail just like you do, there is no
markup
for parts and I will use yours if you have them (assuming they are
correct). Shipping costs for parts is also a pass-through. Bearings
will
come from Boca Bearing, other parts will be ordered from the
appropriate
distributor.
Labor for any service is $25/hr, including any cleanup necessary
prior
to disassembly. A typical two-stroke bearing replacement in an
otherwise
good engine will take about an hour or less, including cleaning (you
can
save a buck or two by cleaning it up first), plus roughly $12 to $15
for
the bearings. If you are in a hurry I can pick them up at Boca
Bearing,
but I’ll charge you $15/hr for my time. Gas is expensive these days.
I
will give you a rough estimate after seeing your engine, but you
don’t
always know what you’ll find until its apart. If I feel its not
repairable, or parts cost is excessive, I will not attempt the
impossible. Often its cheaper to replace than repair. You will only
owe
me for my time to tear it down.

This RTF Co-Axiel helicopter
has a length of 20" and a rotor diameter of 18". I bought this little
heli, 3 weeks ago from XHELI. It all comes with the transmitter with 8
AA cell batteries which I bought for it, on-board Lipo battery, charger
with balancer for the on-board battery and 2 new sets of rotor blades
from XHELI. Training wheels are also enclosed which I also bought.
This little jewel works great and I have had such fun with it. I did
have to adjust things abit so it would hover properly and it does now.
The manufacturer was Dynam and I bought it for $74. Will sell complete
in a "Like New" condition for $49.

The Fabulous
STAUDACHER S300D For Sale!
I'll tell you what this isn't. It's isn't an ARF. It's isn't a Kit,
and they isn't all over the place like common ARF's!
What you have here is a scratched built scale model of the fabulous
Staudacher S300D. Google Staudacher!!
You will be amazed at what shows up.
This model was built from Bruce Lund's plans. It spans 82" and is
28%. The model was built according to
Mr. Lunds plans and recommendations. No skimping, all choice woods
were used, and personally selected.
The Model is excellently built and requires only covering and control
surface assembly. All glass parts are made
nicely and the clear canopy is of excellent quality. Typical tube wing
installation, one bolt for each wing.
The model was built to be light, straight, and correct. Many engine
choices, but I have fitted a MOKI 1.8 or 1.2
for simple "bolt in." I have a Moki 1.8 AND a 1.2 available for
purchase also! As you can see, I started covering
the model. This great Staudacher comes with a aluminum spinner, and a
quality tail wheel. Plans are still like
new and so is the construction booklet.
Hey! I have two of these Bruce Lund Staudachers. The second one isn't
totally framed, but much is already done.
If anyone is interested in either model, just drop me an e-mail. I'll
respond quickly! I need the money, that's why
I'm selling. Yes, I hate to let these Staudachers go.
